yeah for the most part, i dont think it has anything to do with being hardwired.. just servers not working at optimal condition.... i NEVER play hardwired.... and i have had stupidly lagging games and decent games... me and falcons game was pretty decent... it caught me a couple of times on kicks too..... last year i had no problem at all except with a few owners....

The internet speed is also associated with location and server location. you can play lag-less games without be hardwired. You just have better chances of not lagging when location is an issue by choosing to play hardwired.

My sources are from my years of playing counter strike. The server I played in was in Chicago, where I live, and people would always be amazed on how good my latency was.

well good news is that they came out with a little bit of a patch. In online play, if you get quit on, you get the win & the other guy gets the loss no matter what quarter its in

& also on EA's forums, some people were saying that the defense got patched. It isnt confirmed, but supposedly the defense is playing better today

Worst of all my mlb is hurt for f three weeks so the cpu decides to put my hb norwood in the spot. Also why would someone continue to throw every play up 21, this makes no sense.

Just so you know....the Saints owner is a Girl

your right.... i was trying to say the most likely problem is the ea servers.. which explains for the most part one game laggy and the other isnt

Its like no matter what I did offensively, his d-line straight slaughtered my oline. I couldn't run the ball or even attempt to pass but on the other end, no matter what I done defensively, no one could get pressure no matter how many I blitzed. Its quite annoying

Unfortunately Dmoney, you and I are the proud owners of teams considered the "red-headed stepchildren" of the the NFL as far as the brilliant minds of EA. Stuck in the abyss of EA ratings gurus "uuuuh just rate them whatever. They aren't any of my favorites" land. My tms offensive line is pretty much an open corral gate which defenses stampede through... And as far as my defense, apparantly being in the top half of 32 tms defensively doesn't mean much to EA. Just wonder how they come up with these attributes, because to me, the 3rd ranked offense and 13th ranked defense should have a hell of alot better ratings. Oh well. Just going to laugh my ass off when the Texans turn out to be bad ass and EA is sitting there going WOW! We sure didn't see that coming! Idiots... Incompatent idiots...

Ravens win 24-17 over the Browns

Honestly, I think it could have been a lot bigger victory & a lot better win. In the 4th quarter I just kind of dicked around...................speaking of "Dicking" around, rookie TE Ed Dickson would love to become the best TE of the yr if people keep leaving him uncovered. He is lethal & am LOVING him.

Ravens D is starting to look stout. If I start playing more then watch out. There is mucho defense to be played here. Pass rush is beautiful. I just need to teach people to not drop so many INT's. 10 "pass deflections" when about 5 were easy picks.

Colt McCoy got ripped all game long (but somehow still threw nice passes)......Ravens D only had 1 sack, but could have been around 8 or 9 easily.

Perrish Cox got another special teams TD....that makes 2 in 3 games (thanks Gavin)

Offense wasnt good.....Shaun Rogers is a beast for the Browns. Good run defense for the Browns this yr.

GG Ahmad......look out for the Ravens. They may be back busters

yeah LUCK
ya probably. gotta figure my turnover margin will flip-flop eventually. especially with a rookie qb. surprising to see my defense play so well because they are very average up front and in the safetys

i just said that because of your name.... lol

I've played 3 games now in this league and a total of 9 games all together since i bought madden and against my 3 opponents in this league and 4 other users i noticed people like to snap the ball and run right or left right away with the QB and throw to the HB on the flats which is usually open 95 percent of the time.

HMMMM.. havent notice that really... people in this league? im a short to medium range passer so i throw short passes all the time.... i usually just take what the defense gives me... with those zones, sometimes it is hard to let the wr "clear" the zone and stay in the pocket.... as long as they aint doing 15 times a game i guess im cool

I forgot he has the worst CBs in the league. But still, no cbs can be that bad starting on an NFL roster. Must be AI.

The Charger defense was playing lights out, only allowing 2 offensive TDs and forcing 6 turnovers (5 fumbles and 1 INT). Charger D had 7 sacks total I think and a safety, and Merriman had 4 of em. Weddle now has 3 picks on the season, all of them user'd by yours truly. Good game PAPA, he got no breaks, had his players getting injured on what seemed like every play. Next time we play I think it'll be way closer...he just got a little impatient in the 2nd half which lead to some fumbles by the QB and some 3 and outs.

Chargers are excited for their next matchup against the rival Raiders!

quick question, are we allowed 1 fourth down before the 4th quarter? Even if its on our side of the field? I personally think that is not a SIM rule.

Rashowned... It would serve you best to just steer clear of the 4th down rule. It has debated over and over long before you came along brother.

And what if your winning? In the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd quarters?

I can understand it being SIM, if your losing. But what if your winning? I can see it being SIm, while your winning, if its under 3 minutes in the 4th, and it will 100% guarantee that the defense has no chance of getting the ball back.

I bring this up as I noticed John's league and this league have similar settings and rules.

A guy went for 4th an inches while he was winning by 8 in the 3rd quarter. On his 38, but let's pretend it was his own 42. It's still bullshit, that is not sim.

any chance we change to all madden? too many int being dropped. it could also be the reason defense AI seems slow to react on some plays.

I think its unfair when pre-play it tells you, 2 wr 2 rb and a TE. But then you see theres 3WR because his rb is a wr. It kinda screws with your defensive playcalling.

it does get pretty difficult to figure out formations because a 2rb 2wr 1te formation can be a pounder formation or a 3 wide spread out formation you just don't know until you see the field.

Steelers play book does it on it's own creating mismatches. It's designed that way. One play you will WR lined up in one spot then come back in the same formation and be somewhere else.

that is a good question...... probably not in the rules but definitely should be.... i dont mind the rbs being the 3rd wr...... ones like reggie bush splint out all the time... its one of those things that is hard to judge... last year in mxl2 i had the eagles and i had jackson, maclin then westbrook and bryant basically sharing time..... i say if you do it... dont overdo it, but that is whole different can of worms then..... "WHAT IS TOO MUCH?"

ON the wr in the slot question.. that is kinda cheesy if you got it by DEFAULT setup that way... i think you should be allowed to SUB him in several formations..... they do move wrs around like that in the nfl..... should be 1 or 2 spot to me...
